EOne WH484 Grinder Pump Station

E/One WH484 Grinder Pump Station

The W-Series is E/One’s most versatile grinder pump station — a range of basins, covers, discharges, inlets and panels are available.

The E/One WH484 Grinder Pump Station is one of E/One’s largest-capacity grinder pump stations. This station offers a capacity of 486 gallons and can handle flows of up to 7000 GPD. The WH484/WR484 has four grinder pumps and is available in several station heights.

Features

E/One’s WH484/WR484 grinder pump station consists of four Extreme series grinder pumps inside an open wet well tank. The grinder pumps, motor controls and level-sensing are integrated into a compact unit, easily removable for service.

  • The WH484 is the “hardwired,” or “wired,” model where a cable connects the motor controls to the level controls through watertight penetrations.
  • The WR484 is the “radio frequency identification” (RFID), or “wireless,” model that uses wireless technology to communicate between the level controls and the motor controls.

Solids are ground into fine particles that pass easily through the pump, check valve and small-diameter pipe lines — even objects that are not normally found in sewage, such as plastic, rubber, fiber, wood, etc. The 1-1/4″ discharge connection can be adapted to any piping materials that meet local code requirements. The internal check valve assembly, located in the grinder pump, is custom designed for non-clog, trouble-free operation.

The tank is made of tough, corrosion-resistant polyethylene. Designed specifically for low pressure sewer applications, the optimum tank capacity of 486 gallons provides ample storage. A single WH484/WR484 can accommodate flows of up to 7000 gallons per day.

Stations are available in several heights to accommodate various burial depth requirements. See drawings for more information. E/One requires the installation of its stainless steel UNI-LATERAL to prevent backflow from the sewer system from entering the grinder pump station.

About the E/One Grinder Pump

The grinder pump is automatically activated and runs for very short periods. Electrical consumption of the grinder pump is low and will vary with actual water consumption.

E/One grinder pumps do not require preventive maintenance and boast an average of eight to 10 years between service calls. If service is required, the  one-piece core eliminates the need for in-field troubleshooting and servicing — the pump core can be quickly pulled out and replaced, meaning minimal maintenance costs and inconvenience for the property.

Operational Information

Motor (each pump): 1 HP, 1725 rpm, high torque, capacitor start, thermally protected, 240 or 120 volt, 60 hertz, 1 phase

Inlet Connections: 4″ inlet grommet standard for PVC pipe. Other inlet configurations available from factory.

Discharge Connections: Pump discharge terminates in 1-1/4″ NPT female thread. Can easily be adapted to 1-1/4″ PVC pipe or any other material required by local codes. E/One requires the installation of its stainless steel UNI-LATERAL to prevent backflow from the sewer system from entering the grinder pump station.

Discharge (per pump):
15 gpm at 0 psig
11 gpm at 40 psig
