Paper De-inking Froth Pumps from John Brooks Company for Manufacturing of Recycled Paper
Deinking is the industrial process of removing printing ink with help of froth flotation method from paper fibers of recycled paper to make deinked pulp.
Deinking process involves detaching ink from the fibers, by using a combination of mechanical action and chemical additives like sulphuric acid, sodium hydrosulfite, sodium silicate, sodium hydroxide, and soaps. They require rugged and reliable paper de-inking froth pumps.
Froth Flotation is widely used as an industrial process for de-inking during manufacturing of recycled paper. The recycled paper is mixed with water to form a thick slurry. This slurry is then heavily mixed and injected with air along with hydrophobic chemicals to bind to the unwanted particles that need to be removed from the slurry. In the flotation tank, bubbles are dispersed in the pulp. The bubbles collect the ink particles and rise to the top where they are skimmed off. The pulp falls to the bottom where it is pumped out.
