EATON Model 90 1″ to 48″ Fabricated Simplex Pipeline Basket Strainer
EATON Model 90 Fabricated Simplex Strainers can be manufactured for pipeline sizes from 1˝ to 48˝ in carbon steel or stainless steel. EATON Model 90 Simplex pipeline strainers remove damage causing particulate matter from the process media, protecting system components such as flow meters, pumps, and spray nozzles. The particulate matter is captured in the strainer basket. The line is then temporarily shut down and the basket removed for cleaning or replacement. It is perfect for applications with unique requirements or standard ones where a cast strainer would not fit or be too heavy.
Customize to improve performance and meet higher pressure requirements
A slant top design improves the flow through the strainer and results in significantly lower pressure drops. This design also results in a more compact basket that weighs less than an ordinary basket. This makes it possible for one person to remove it from the strainer housing, when it comes time to clean or change-out the basket.
Common modifications
- Rotated inlet and outlet nozzles to eliminate an elbow in the downstream piping
- Lowering or raising either the inlet or the outlet nozzle, this eliminates serious alignment and support problems.
