HART Y strainers include a blow-down plug, which can be replaced with a ball valve so that periodic clean-out of hard particulate can be done quickly and easily without tools. HART Y strainers have a generous screen area and properly proportioned straining chamber to minimize pressure drop and increase the interval between clean-outs.
