Habitat for Humanity

Our company generously donated pumps in conjunction with E-One towards a Habitat for Humanity project in Milton, Ontario. These pumps went towards a house that will be the future home of two deserving families in need.

In addition to our donation, 24 John Brooks’ employees also participated in “Build Days” to help with the physical construction of the house. These 24 volunteers helped with the plumbing, duct work, basement insulation and construction of an outdoor deck. All of this in the 30 degree weather! We arrived at the site at 8:30 AM and were taken through the safety precautions and instructed on how to perform our various tasks by trained contractors. For many people, many of the things we were taught was brand new but everyone was eager to learn. The team work John Brooks’ employees exuded was truly a pleasure to see. Our 24 volunteers were eager to do as much as they could, whether that meant skipping snack breaks or making the contractors stay a little later so we could finish our tasks!
