Product Description: Straight stream PSR nozzles with extension tubes
Situation: The customer’s existing 316 stainless steel PSR-style nozzles were galling in their existing 316 stainless steel headers. They needed to be able to remove the nozzles on a regular basis without destroying the threads.
Solution: Bete Application Engineers recommended constructing the nozzles out 218 stainless steel (Nitronic), a material which would not gall in contact with 316 stainless steel. Some of the customer’s nozzles also had an extension tube welded to the back of the nozzle to keep particulates and other solid deposits from clogging the nozzle. Bete supplied the PSR nozzles with the tube already attached, providing the customer with an exact replacement from a single source.
